Admissions Counselor in South Orange
Those who work in this entry level role will be responsible for all front-line customer services including communication related to the Admissions process of Seton Hall University. The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for receiving and delivering all electronic, voice and in-person related information pertaining to the inquiry application and enrollment processes of the Office of Admissions. The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for assessing the customer service provided by the Office of Admissions and suggesting ways to enhance the services provided. Additionally, this position will be responsible for meeting with and speaking to students and families, specifically in terms of the application process, decision process, and financial aid process. The Admissions Counselor will make decisions on the applications of students when necessary and will be well-versed in the enrollment process to better assist prospective students in their application/financial aid review. Additionally, this position will be responsible for providing daily information sessions to campus visitors prior to taking a tour as well as conducting interviews of prospective students. They may also be responsible for providing tours. The Admissions Counselor will need to be customer service oriented with a strong desire to work with others. The Admissions Counselor should also be available to work some weekend and evening events throughout a recruitment cycle.

The Accounts Payable Clerk processes University invoices, check requests and expense reports in the University's financial system for payment. This role is responsible for reviewing payment requests submitted by University departments ensuring that the provided documentation is complete and compliant with established policies and procedures before accurately keying invoices into the system. The AP Clerk also assists with the payment run processes by matching issued check copies to the invoice for filing. As this role interacts with all levels of the campus community and outside vendors to address routine payment status and process related inquiries, it requires an individual with strong communication skills and a customer service orientation. At the same time, given the nature of the work, keen attention to detail, capacity to work within financial systems, and an ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential. Finally, the AP Clerk plays a critical role in careful stewardship of the University's resources by ensuring that only properly documented and approved invoices are entered into the system for payment.

The primary purpose of the Security Dispatcher is to protect life and property. This is accomplished through monitoring, coordinating, and controlling information received from sources such as duress, access, and intrusion alarms on campus. The Security Dispatcher commands our central communication center. The Dispatcher is responsible for all telephone and radio communications. Information is evaluated and communicated to the appropriate Public Safety personnel as well as police, fire, and medical services. Finally, in the absence of a supervisor, the dispatcher assumes the duties and responsibilities of a Security Manager.
